LOTR DBG Eowyn Promo Pack: Card Details and Deck Tips

Quick answer

Add the Eowyn promo card to your starting deck to keep your deck moving. It adds 'I Fear Neither Death Nor Pain' to your starting deck, which helps maintain momentum like the riders of Rohan.

How to use the Eowyn promo card: step-by-step

1. Check compatibility: Ensure you are playing The Lord of the Rings: Two Towers Deck-Building Game or a compatible LOTR DBG set. The promo was originally released with Two Towers, so it fits seamlessly there. Confirm your game version before adding the card.
2. Add to your starting deck: Place the Eowyn promo card into your starting deck alongside your other starting cards. It replaces one of your starting cards or is added as an extra, depending on your preferred setup. Decide whether to replace or add based on your deck size.
3. Use 'I Fear Neither Death Nor Pain' for cycling: When you draw the card, play it to help move through your deck. Use its effect to discard and draw, keeping your hand fresh and your strategy on track. Prioritize playing it early to accelerate your deck.
4. Avoid common mistake: over-reliance: Don't rely solely on this card for deck cycling; pair it with other draw effects to maintain consistency. If you neglect other sources of card flow, your deck may stall. Balance the promo with other cycling cards.
5. Adjust for multiplayer: In multiplayer games, the card's cycling can help you keep up with faster opponents. Use it to dig for key cards that disrupt or outpace others. Adapt your timing based on opponent speed.
