Learn how to add the Death Pact Expansion to Everyone Else Thinks This Game Is Awesome! with clear steps, a key checkpoint, and honest tradeoffs.

Quick answer

To use the Death Pact Expansion, you need the Everyone Else Thinks This Game Is Awesome! base game. Shuffle the expansion cards into the matching base-game deck before play, then follow the base rules—no extra setup is required.

Why the base game is non-negotiable

The Death Pact Expansion is not a standalone game. Its cards are designed to plug into the base game’s question pool, so without the base game you won’t have the full deck or the core rules to play. If you already own the base game, the expansion simply adds more thematic questions to your sessions.

When to introduce the expansion

If your group is new to Everyone Else Thinks This Game Is Awesome!, play a round or two with just the base game first. The expansion’s questions assume familiarity with the game’s humor and pace. Once everyone knows the flow, shuffle in the expansion cards for a fresh batch of prompts.

How to add the Death Pact Expansion to your game

Confirm you have the base game: The expansion requires the Everyone Else Thinks This Game Is Awesome! base game to play. Check that your base game box is on the table before opening the expansion. Without the base game, the expansion cards have no deck to join.
Shuffle the expansion cards into the matching base deck: Open the Death Pact Expansion and mix its cards thoroughly into the corresponding base-game question deck. Do not keep them separate unless you want to play a themed session. A thorough shuffle prevents clumps of expansion cards from appearing back-to-back.
Set up the rest of the game as usual: Follow the base game’s setup instructions for player count, scoring, and any other components. The expansion does not change the core rules. Skipping the normal setup can lead to missed components or incorrect scoring.
Play and enjoy the new questions: Proceed with the game as you normally would. The expansion cards simply add more variety to the question pool. If a question seems unclear, read it aloud exactly as printed—paraphrasing can change the intended challenge.
